Register interest in Riding on the Sheriff’s Ride

Saturday September 9th 2023

All those who have already registered interest have been sent a priority link to register for the ride.

Registration will open on Monday 10th July

The Sheriff’s Ride will take place this year and it would help us if we could determine how many people are interested in doing the ride.

In the morning we intend to have a small group of horses and riders in the City Centre to promote the ride for future years.

This year the ride will therefore begin at Freeford Manor at 12:30am and will arrive (after a stop at Pipe Hall Farm) at Maple Hayes Hall. If we can organise it we will then return to the City Centre by around 4:30pm in order to maximise our visibility to the public. Horse boxes may then be parked near the City Centre for loading.

The entry fee will be £30 for the second half of the ride (approximately 11 miles + an extra mile if we are able to arrange a ceremonial arrival into the city centre)

Numbers on the ride this year will be limited and registering interest cannot guarantee a place.

If you are interested in taking part and supporting this historic event - please complete the form below and we will get back in contact with you with more details
